Compare Wellpro with the EHRs and software you are weighing.

Every health record is built around something: the visit, the claim, the membership or the data. Wellpro is built around each patient’s goals, living care plans and measurable outcomes. Here is how 23 systems compare, grouped by what they are built around.

Let’s talk
Built around

Start with what it is built around.

The fastest way to compare health care software is to ask what sits at the center.

The visit and the claim

The note and the insurance claim are the main records. Most established EHRs work this way, and they do it well.

The membership

Billing and the patient relationship come first, with charting added around them. Common in direct primary care.

The data

Labs, wearables and genomics come together in a dashboard that sits next to your EHR. These are clinical decision support tools, not EHRs.

The outcome

Each patient’s goals map to clinical goals, each with the actions that serve it and the measures that show whether it is working. We call this outcome-native. This is how Wellpro is built.

AI-native

What AI-native should mean.

Many systems now call themselves AI-native. Five questions separate a system designed around AI from one that added AI to an existing record.

  1. Is it built around structured goals, actions and measures? AI can only act on what the system understands. If the center of the record is a free-text note, the AI is summarizing paperwork.
  2. Does the AI do the work, or only suggest it? Drafting the note, the visit summary, the care plan updates and the orders, with your clinicians approving. And running whole care pathways and workflows that your team describes in plain language.
  3. Does the AI work between visits? Results, wearable data and check-ins arrive every day. The AI should notice, suggest changes to the plan and handle routine messages under your rules.
  4. Is the AI everywhere, or in a few features? Charting, care plans, messaging, labs and the patient app, not an add-on tab.
  5. Was it designed this way from the start? A record designed before modern AI was built around the note and the claim. Adding AI on top speeds up the old workflow. Designing for it changes the workflow.

Wellpro started in October 2024 and was designed AI-native and outcome-native from the ground up. Founding years are listed below so you can weigh the fifth question yourself.

Where Wellpro fits

Wellpro, on the same terms.

Wellpro is an EHR and the care platform around it, in one system. Each patient’s goals map to clinical goals, and each clinical goal carries its actions and measures. As results, wearable data and check-ins arrive, Wellpro suggests changes to the plan and your clinicians approve them.

Insurance practices

Bill insurance? Start alongside now.

Insurance billing and claims are coming to Wellpro, and we are building them with a small group of primary care and specialty practices. If you bill insurance today, your clinicians can work in Wellpro for charting, care plans and follow-up while your current system keeps handling claims. Tell us how you bill, and we will talk about working together.

Switching

Already using one of these?

Wellpro works next to your current system through standard, FHIR-based integrations, so you can start alongside and move over when you are ready. When you do, we migrate your records, set up your protocols and plans, and train your team. Most practices are live in weeks.

Questions

Questions practices ask.

What is the best EHR alternative for a functional or longevity practice?

One built around the outcome the patient is paying for. Look for structured goals, actions and measures, a plan that stays current between visits, and memberships in the same record.

What is the difference between an EHR and clinical decision support?

An EHR is the record of care: charting, orders, prescriptions and billing. Clinical decision support analyzes data and suggests next steps, but runs beside an EHR. Wellpro does both in one system.

Can we build our own workflows and care pathways?

Yes. With Flows, you describe a care pathway or a clinical or admin workflow in plain language, and Wellpro builds it. Wellpro’s AI agents then carry out each step for every patient it applies to, such as sending messages, queuing orders for approval, scheduling follow-ups and flagging what needs a clinician. Your team steps in where judgment is needed.

What does AI-native mean?

A system designed around AI from the start, so the AI does the work across the whole system, including between visits. Use the five questions above to compare any system that uses the term.

What does outcome-native mean?

The system is organized around the result the patient is working toward. Goals, actions and measures are connected, so you can see what is working for each patient and adjust.

Can we run Wellpro alongside our current EHR?

Yes. Wellpro connects through standard, FHIR-based integrations, so you can start alongside and consolidate when you are ready.

We bill insurance. Can we use Wellpro?

Yes, alongside your current system. Insurance claims are coming soon to Wellpro. Today, Wellpro exports superbills and CMS-1500 forms from the signed note.
